Julia Louis-Dreyfus earned worldwide acclaim her portrayal of Elaine Benes in the hit series "Seinfeld." She received an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, five Screen Actors Guild Awards and four American Comedy Awards during the show's nine-year run on NBC.
Her other television credits include a recurring role in "Arrested Development," the short-lived series "Watching Ellie" and a voice role in the television movie "Animal Farm."
She was first noticed as a comedian during a three-year stint on "Saturday Night Live" in the 1980s.
