NEW YORK (CBS) Jorge Garcia has a message for the reported 9,000 people who won $150 in Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery drawing by playing the infamous number sequence from the show "Lost."

For those not familiar with the show: Garcia played Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, the character who the lottery by playing a series of numbers that became integral to the show's plot - he became a multi-millionaire, but bad luck and unfortunate events followed him after.

On his blog, the actor warned: "When will you people learn?"

"The numbers are bad!" he wrote (this was a line Hurley often repeated on the show). The post then showed a picture of money with the word "Cursed" on it, with Garcia telling fans to enjoy their possibly ill-fated winnings.

"Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof tweeted that 9,078 people played Hurley's numbers in the drawing.

The "Lost" number sequence is 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42. Tuesday's Mega Millions winning numbers were 4, 8, 15, 25, 47 and 42. Since four of those numbers overlap, fans who used the show for lottery inspiration each won $150.

Are "Lost" fans tempting fate by playing Hurley's numbers? Perhaps they should stay away from flights on Oceanic Airlines, just to be safe.
