SACRAMENTO (CBS/ KOVR) A spokesperson for Jaycee Lee Dugard and her daughters is blasting a photographer who "secretly" took pictures of Jaycee Lee Dugard and her daughters and is offering them for sale to the media.
Dugard was kidnapped and held captive for 18 years. She gave birth to two daughters by her alleged abductor, Philip Garrido. Her daughters are now 15 and 12.
According to CBS Affiliate KOVR, Dugard's spokesperson, Nancy Seltzer said in a statement released on Friday that she is "saddened" by the pictures which have apparently been purchased by at least two magazines who are choosing to blur the faces of Jaycee's daughters.
She goes on to say that Jaycee "isn't a celebrity and neither are her two minor age girls. They are survivors of violent crimes. Jaycee isn't a public figure by her own choice - nor are her daughters."
Phillip and Nancy Garrido are accused of kidnapping Dugard in 1991 from near her South Lake Tahoe home. She was 11 at the time.
Seltzer went on to thank the publications for choosing to blur the images of Jaycee's daughters, she goes on to say "I can only feel shame for those who took the photos and who think this is right."
