When you watch The Early Show, I'm sure you notice we do a lot of interviews outside. That gets a little tricky in the winter when it's really cold and we have to do a mad dash, in addition to donning a coat and gloves. We usually get a commercial break to get bundled up and get outside, but that wasn't the case yesterday on a freezing cold Monday morning in New York City. I was inside our nice cozy studio talking about airline travel and then had to get outside to the plaza for a segment on salads. So we had no choice but to put the whole journey on the air! I managed to walk and talk, but didn't do a great job tying the coat. Oh well, at least my cameraman and I did not trip over cables on the way out!
For a little inside look at what we go through every day, several times during the course of the show,
