(YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO) – John McCain continues his bus tour of Ohio today, and now he's putting a little muscle behind it.
The governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will join McCain at a rally in Columbus this evening, despite his acknowledgement of McCain's sagging poll numbers.
"I know it is going to be a very tough uphill battle for him," Schwarzenegger told the Los Angeles Times.
Schwarzenegger's support for McCain has been an uphill battle even in his own home – his wife, Maria Shriver, is supporting Barack Obama. The California governor has also disagreed with McCain over his "drill here, drill now" energy plan, saying that offshore drilling is not the solution to weaning America off oil.
"Anyone who tells you this would bring down gas prices anytime soon is blowing smoke," Schwarzenegger said this past summer.
