From chartreuse to emerald, the vibrant shade has been seen on A-listers throughout award season, including Angelina Jolie, who stunned onlookers in a shimmery, long-sleeved jade Atelier Versace gown at the Golden Globes in January.

Oscar winner Mellissa Leo packed a fashion punch last month when she slipped into a jade satin empire waist floor-length gown at the Independent Spirit Awards.

And singer Esperanza Spalding stood out at this year's Grammy award when she accepted her Best New Artist award wearing a chartreuse tiered frock.

Other stars who have sported the bold shade on the red carpet, include comedienne Kathy Griffin, actress Blake Lively, and country pop star Taylor Swift.
