"Gossip Girl" Actor Chace Crawford Busted For Marijuana Possession

NEW YORK (CBS) "Gossip Girl" actor Chace Crawford was arrested on charages of possession of marijuana early Friday morning in Plano, Texas, the town where he grew up.

Reuters is reporting that police arrested the young actor in a pub parking lot just after midnight this morning in Plano. He was charged with possession of under 2 ounces of marijuana.

According to published reports, the 24-year-old actor was in a car with a friend when he was arrested and he had one unlit joint in possession.

Crawford has posted bond and is out of jail, Reuters says. He faces a maximum penalty, if convicted, of 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine.
