Glenn Beck Boycott: Fox Host Blacked Out by Advertisers in the U.K., Activists Claim

Glenn Beck's show on the Fox News Channel has not had a single advertiser in the United Kingdom in the last six days, according to StopBeck, one of the advocacy groups behind the commercial boycott of Beck.

The right-wing talk show host was boycotted by at least 80 companies after he said that President Obama has (video below):

-- a deep-seated hatred for white people -- I'm not saying he doesn't like white people, I'm saying he has a problem. This guy is, I believe, a racist.
On Beck's U.S. show, the commercial breaks are littered with revenue-free house ads for Fox parent News Corp. (NWS)-owned properties such as The Wall Street Journal and the O'Reilly Factor. His remaining advertisers include such small beer as the Credit Card & Debt Relief Helpline and the Lifestyle Lift. In Britain, however, he's apparently down to no advertisers at all. StopBeck:
During the commercial break, instead of running ads, they cut away to Sky News updates or the weather.
It's eyebrow-raising stuff, as Radio Business report notes:
This campaign kicked off last August 2009 over remarks Beck made on somebody else's show in July 2009. It's been both amazingly effective and it's had unusual staying power. Fox has always maintained that it hasn't lost any advertisers, just shifted them to other dayparts. But you have to wonder how much longer this will go on.
