(CBS) The "Lost" series finale aired one year ago today, ending the drama after six seasons of island-dwelling with the Oceanic 815 survivors, the Others, the numbers, the smoke monster, Jacob and everything else that came along with it.

That doesn't mean that fans of the show have stopped talking about it. Some of them even won money in the Mega Millions lottery drawing earlier this year by playing the series' infamous numbers (this writer and her equally island-minded coworker bought a ticket together and split the winnings - not caring that Hurley says the money is cursed).

"Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof tweeted a message commemorating the anniversary, and other fans have been tweeting memories of the show with the hashtag #WeHaveToGoBack (to the island, that is.)

Lindelof wrote, "For all you castaways -- 815 flies forever. Sixteen tons and I got Lost. This May 23, I raise my forty to those gone, but never forgotten."

Other fans talked about rewatching the final episode, and reminisced about polar bear cages, Jack's terrible post-island beard, the Dharma Initiative and Danielle Rousseau.

Some of the "Lost" stars will be back on television in next season's new pilots. Michael Emerson, (he of the always-memorable (and always creepy) Benjamin Linus one-liners,  will star as a mysterious billionaire on CBS' "Person of Interest." Nestor Carbonell (Richard) will appear on The CW's "The Ringer," Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond) has a role on ABC's "Scandal" and Jorge Garcia (Hurley) is on Fox's "Alcatraz."

Daniel Dae Kim (Jin) made his post-"Lost" return to TV last year in "Hawaii Five-0" (which was renewed for a second season), and, off-screen, Evangeline Lilly (Kate) recently giving birth to a baby boy.

Back when the finale aired, "Lost" fans were divided - some were pleased by it, others were unhappy and some were just confused. But now, a year later, most of the talk is not about "The End" (what the last episode was called), but what got everyone there: specific episodes, memorable lines and favorite elements from the show.

Tell us, "Lost" fans: A year later, does the finale feel any different to you? What are some of your favorite memories from the series?
