Married ladies take heed: You may want to think twice about changing into that comfortable pair of sweatpants as soon as you get home from work.

Eva Mendes, for one, thinks it could lead to marital trouble.

The actress told "Extra," "You can't do sweatpants...ladies, No. 1 cause of divorce in America, sweatpants, no!"

Aha. Is that how she managed to snag heartthrob Ryan Gosling? If so, we're tossing our sweatpants out tonight.

In all seriousness, Mendes was talking with AJ Calloway of "Extra" about her sense of style, describing it as "feminine." She said she doesn't love pants, adding, "I feel much more comfortable in a dress or skirt or something."

Still, the sweatpants comment had some traction. During an interview with "Fox and Friends" on Friday co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked guest Dolly Parton if she ever wears sweatpants.

Her response? "No, Actually I don't. I don't think I'll be getting a divorce anytime soon. I don't wear sweatpants. I either wear tight pants or no pants. My husband likes that part pretty good."
