(CBS/AP) DETROIT - Police say the body of 30-year-old Cullen Finnerty, a former Grand Valley State University championship quarterback, was found Tuesday night about a mile from where he disappeared two days ago. Foul play is not suspected in his death, according to authorities.

Finnerty went missing Sunday while fishing near his family's cottage in a wooded area in Michigan.

Finnerty was dropped off by family members with a boat. Once he was done fishing, he docked his boat and called his wife saying he was scared and wandering through the woods, according to CBS Detroit.

Authorities, family members, current and former Grand Valley State football players reportedly joined the search.

CBS Detroit reports Grand Valley coach Matt Mitchell said Finnerty was "held in very high regard. He was the starting quarterback on national championship teams."

Authorities say an autopsy will have to determine how Finnerty died.
