Clifton Collins Jr. is known to movie audiences for his role as a hitman in the Oscar-winning film "Traffic" and as real-life convicted killer Perry Smith in "Capote."

Born in Los Angeles, the 36-year-old actor is the grandson of Mexican film star Pedro Gonzalez-Gonzalez.

His film credits include "Menace II Society," "Price of Glory" and "Dirty."

He's guest-starred on "Walker, Texas Ranger," "NYPD Blue," "Resurrection Blvd." and "Alias."

Collins is nominated for outstanding supporting actor in a drama for his work in the FX series "Thief."
