Chandra Wilson
Chandra Wilson was a virtual unknown before she was cast as Dr. Miranda "the Nazi" Bailey on "Grey's Anatomy" in 2004.
She began performing at a young age. Parts in high school musicals prepared her for drama studies at NYU.
Wilson landed spots in commercials for products like Burger King and Scope and then nabbed a recurring role as Claudia on ABC's short-lived TV series "Bob Patterson," starring Jason Alexander. She also guest starred in popular TV series such as "The Sopranos" and "Third Watch."
Wilson wowed audiences and critics by her work on stage as well. In 2004, The New York Times named her one of eight to watch on stage and behind the scenes due to her performance in George C. Wolfe's Broadway revival of "On the Town."
