Series premiere: Sept. 24, 8:30 p.m. ET, on CBS The bond between an accomplished architect (David Krumholtz) and his gay co-worker and best friend (Michael Urie) is tested after he proposes to his longtime girlfriend (Sophia Bush).

CBS is pulling the plug on its freshman comedy, "Partners," starring Michael Urie, David Krumholtz, Sophia Bush and Brandon Routh.

The series aired Mondays at 8:30 p.m. ET and debuted to 6.6 million viewers this fall with a 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic. But the numbers have been struggling ever since, falling to 5.5 million viewers and a 1.8 rating.

In its place this Monday will be a rerun of "Two and a Half Men."

Deadline first reported the news on Friday, noting that the series would be canceled immediately.
