Car-for-Sex Trade: Ga. parents who pimped teen daughter, auto dealer, all going to prison

(CBS/AP) MACON, Ga. - Authorities say a Central Georgia couple has been sentenced after admitting that they traded sex with their 14-year-old daughter, for a family minivan. The car dealer got caught, too.

Oconee Circuit District Attorney Timothy Vaughn said the 37-year-old mother pleaded guilty to child molestation and was sentenced to eight years in prison. Vaughn said the girl's 39-year-old father, and former car dealership manager Robert Wayne Bearden, both pleaded guilty to child molestation and were sentenced to 10 years in prison.

The Associated Press does not identify victims of sexual abuse and is not identifying the parents to protect the teen.

Vaughn said the mother woman didn't physically abuse her daughter, but admitted trading sex with her for a 1998 Dodge Caravan.

Sheriff's investigators have said the girl's parents made her perform "sexual favors" for Bearden, who was manager of Shorty's Used Cars in Eastman in 2010, so they wouldn't have to make the monthly $281 payment on the Dodge Caravan.
