HANFORD, Calif. (CBS/AP) A 36-year-old California man allegedly tortured and imprisoned his girlfriend over a message he spied on her Facebook page.

Anthony Lozano of Hanford was arrested by Kings County sheriff's deputies in California after he allegedly flew into a jealous rage and attacked his girlfriend - while their children were in the home.

He is facing a slew of charges, including suspicion of false imprisonment, kidnapping, and torture.

According to Sheriff's Cmdr. Dave Putnam, Lozano suspected that his 23-year-old girlfriend was having an affair.

Lozano allegedly grabbed her by the hair, dragged her, and threatened to her before choking her with a rope and towel.

During the attack, Putnam says the couple's child and another child of Lozano's girlfriend were in the house.

Lozano is currently in Kings County custody and is being held on $725,000 bail.
