Bush Impeachment Referred To Judiciary Committee

Articles of impeachment filed against President Bush by Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) were referred to the House Judiciary Committee by a vote of 238 to 180, with Democrats voting for the motion and Republicans largely in opposition.

Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-Mich.) has said that he has no plans to take up the articles of impeachment. Kucinich charged Bush with misleading the nation into the war in Iraq.
