Brooklyn Home Invasion: Boy, 10, scares off two robbers by firing their gun, report says
(CBS) NEW YORK - A 10-year-old Brooklyn boy scared off two alleged robbers during an attempted home invasion by firing their gun after one of them dropped it, according to CBS New York.
Two men reportedly posed as deliverymen and broke into a Brooklyn home with a gun Monday evening. They allegedly demanded money and told everyone in the home to get on the floor, including two teenage girls, police say.
When one of the perpetrators went to the second floor of the residence, a woman slammed a door on his arm, making him drop his gun, police told CBS New York.. The 10-year-old boy then acted quickly by picking up the weapon and firing a shot.
The suspects reportedly took off after the gunshot. There were no reported injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate the case while the two male suspects in the attempted robbery are still on the loose.
According to a description from officials, the suspects are black and in their 20's.
