(CBS/AP) Despite saying  in an interview that she was done with Hollywood, Bristol Palin will be the star of a reality TV show on Lifetime called "Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp."

The series will follow the daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin and explore the pressures of raising her toddler son, Tripp, as she maintains her close relationship with the larger Palin clan, according to the network.

The former first daughter of Alaska, Palin became one of the nation's most prominent single mothers after the 2008 birth of Tripp. Last summer, a reality series built around her was announced by the Bio Channel, but never aired.

Lifetime says it will air 10 episodes of the show that was filmed in Alaska.

In 2010, Palin was a competitor on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars." Last June, she published a best-selling memoir.

In an interview in January with In Touch Weekly, she told the magazine she was done with Hollywood and instead is enjoying her quieter life back in Wasilla, Alaska, with her son.

"I wasn't really into the Hollywood thing," explained Palin. "I just realized that I was over it."
