(CBS) Bristol Palin may have just realized that her 15 minutes of fame are up.

In a new interview with In Touch Weekly, Bristol says she's done with Hollywood and is instead, enjoying her quieter life back in Wasilla, Alaska, with her 3-year-old son Tripp. They have temporarily moved into the apartment underneath her mother Sarah Palin's TV studio.

"I wasn't really into the Hollywood thing," explained Bristol, who realized it was time to move back home in September after she was heckled at the Saddle Ranch bar in Los Angeles by a man launching insults about the Palin family.

"I just realized that I was over it," said the 21-year-old daughter of the former Alaska governor. "I was ready to come home."

Life's a lot more low-key for Bristol, as she's now working at the reception desk at a dermatologist's office in Anchorage, reports In Touch. She's also getting Tripp ready for pre-school.

Meanwhile, Bristol's mother is glad to have her daughter nearby.

"It's great having Bristol here," Sarah Palin told In Touch. "She makes good decisions, and she's always thinking long-term about her and Tripp's future."

One person who's reportedly out of the picture, though, is Bristol's ex and Tripp's father, Levi Johnston. "He's not using his visitation, and he's not paying his child support," Bristol said.

Bristol may done with Hollywood (at least for now), but she's still maintaining an online social media presence.

"I cannot wait to see what God has in store for Tripp and me, and the rest of my family, in 2012!," she wrote recently in a Facebook post.
