Briana Gaines Missing: Teen mother and 1-year-old son missing in Detroit, police say

(CBS) - Michigan police are now looking for a 17-year-old mother and her 1-year-old child who went missing over a week ago, CBS Detroit reports.

Briana Gaines was last seen with her child on Dec. 11 with her auburn hair tied in a ponytail and wearing green jeans, a sweater with a burgundy hood and a brown jacket.

She is described as 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 164 pounds. Police said Gaines takes medication for ADHD and depression.

Her son, Xavier Gaines, was last seen wearing blue pants, a blue jacket and a hat. He is described as having brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information about Gaines and her child is asked to call the Detroit Police Department's Criminal Investigative Bureau at 313-596-1340.
