Brett Favre Scandal: Jenn Sterger's Lawyer Wants to Know How Favre Got Phone Number

NEW YORK (CBS/AP) The legal team for Jenn Sterger are hoping to meet with a former Jets employee who claims to know how star NFL quarterback Brett Favre got the former New York Jets hostess' phone number before allegedly sending her suggestive messages and graphic photos, according to a report.

Sterger's manager Phil Reese says her legal team is conducting its own investigation in addition to an ongoing one being conducted by the NFL.

Reese says he's hopeful the person who knows how Favre got Sterger's personal contact information will speak to them this week, according to the New York Daily News.

"He said he wanted to help and support Jenn," Reese told the paper.

Resse told the newspaper that the man was a Jets employee in 2008 and could verify the identity of the person who allegedly supplied the QB with Sterger's number.

Favre has since fessed up to sending racy voice mails to Sterger in 2008 - but denied sending graphic photos, according to FOX Sports' Correspondent Jay Glazer.

On Saturday, Reese said it was likely Sterger would meet with the NFL by the end of this week.
