Outkast's Big Boi will make the move to television when he guest stars on three episodes of CW's "Girlfriends" this month.

The actor, singer and producer will play himself on the show, in a storyline where he hires one of the girlfriends, Lynn, to write music and collaborate on an album.

During the show, Big Boi will perform a song written by Persia White, the actress who plays Lynn.

The first episode airs on Monday, Nov. 20 on the CW.

Antwan "Big Boi" Patton starred recently in the film "Idlewild" and was also seen in the film "ATL."

He's currently shooting the indie film "Who's Your Caddy."

Big Boi and Andre "Andre 3000" Benjamin are the co-leaders of the hip-hop/R&B band Outkast.

The group has earned six Grammy's, three World Music Awards, three BET Awards and four American Music Awards.
