Betty White playing God on "Save Me" season finale
Betty White is already a TV goddess, and now she's actually playing God.
The "Hot in Cleveland" star is making a cameo as the Almighty on the NBC comedy "Save Me" during its season finale, airing Thursday.
During the episode, Beth (Anne Heche) comes face-to-face with the higher power she's communicated with all season -- and is surprised to see that God has taken the form of White. But there's a reason for it: "My Betty outfit always puts people at ease."
Here's the official description for the episode: "When Beth learns that the hospital where Emily (Madison Davenport) was born is being shut down, she decides she must try to raise funds to save it. Unfortunately for her, her friends are busy, distracted or not at all interested. Beth's overzealousness soon becomes a big problem, but when she receives a divine visit from the Almighty, she realizes that she really can make a difference without making everyone do things her way."
The season finale of "Save Me," titled "Holier Than Thou," airs Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Watch a sneak peek below:
