Beth Mowins

This is Beth Mowins's first year as a reporter for CBS Sports' coverage of the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship.

Mowins has called regular season women's college basketball for CBS (1998), calls play-by-play for women's college basketball on ESPN/ESPN2 and the Big East Network and also covers women's basketball for Penn State University.

She has also served as play-by-play announcer for ESPN's coverage of the NCAA Women's Golf Championships and Softball Championships

Mowins began her broadcasting career in 1991 as news and sports director for WXHC-FM Radio in Homer, N.Y.

She graduated from Lafayette College in 1989 where she was captain of the varsity basketball team (1988-89), and received a masters in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University in 1990

Born May 26, 1967, Mowins currently resides in Clearwater, Fla.
