Best Beach Gear Bargains For Less Than $40

Before heading to the beach this summer, you'll need everything from beach chairs to towels, coolers and carriers, and toys for the little ones.

And as The Early Show Saturday Edition's "Bargainista," trend and lifestyle expert Judy Goss shared word on the best bets for your days on the sand, at cut-rate prices.

YOU HAVE TO PROTECT YOUR FEET FROM THE HOT SANDS

The hottest summer footwear is the Havaiana. It is the flip-flop of the stars. There are actually Havaiana collectors, who get them in every color. They come with thick or thin soles, and the new "Fit" style even has a back strap. Havaianas have actually turned flip-flops into acceptable fashion-wear. And there are Havaianas for men, too. And you can have more than one pair, because they only cost: $22-$44 a pair.

PROTECT YOUR EYES

Some very cool shades for that: Physician Endorsed Socialite sunglasses from QVC. They are safe and sexy, with 100-percent UV-400 protection, and you see them on celebs, like some of the "Gossip Girls", and Karina Smirnoff from "Dancing With The Stars". So, you would think that would make them expensive, right? Nope. They cost just $28-$31.

SOMEWHERE TO SIT, AND THESE ARE NOT YOUR ORDINARY BEACH CHAIRS

The Canopy Beach Chair by Kelsyus. It comes with a built in canopy and a drinks holder, and it comes in both adult and child sizes. And, when you're done sunning for the day, it folds into a backpack. It's just $39 for the adult chair, and $30 for the kid-sized chair.

A LITTLE LIGHT READING

You love to read, but you don't have time to browse the bookstores, or room for all those hardbacks, and you know how much they cost. Bookswim is perfect for you. It's the "Netflix" for books. You go on the website, order the books you want, and they'll deliver pretty much wherever you are at no extra charge, so you can get the whole family reading, for just $20 per month.

SOMETHING TO KEEP THE KIDS OCCUPIED

A toy that will keep them occupied and keep them cool. It's the Blaster Board by Prime Time Toys, and it's a kickboard with an extra kick! They can float on it in the water, then turn it into a blaster board and shield. It's just $24.

WHEN YOU NEED SOMETHING COLD, A GREAT WAY TO CARRY IT

The six-pack cooler from Built-NY. It's made from neoprene, it insulates six 12-20 ounce cans or bottles for up to four hours, it's machine washable, and it's only $23.

A LITTLE SOMETHING TO CARRY ALL THAT STUFF IN

A great tote, the Omni Peace tote. It's roomy, with a waterproof lining, it's got this great logo and it's a favorite of stars like Courtney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, David Beckham. And here's the best thing: Twenty-five percent of the company's proceeds to to aid different humanitarian causes. For 2009, their cause is the campaign to "Stamp Out Violence in the Congo."
