Avril Lavigne's Tears Of Joy In Toronto

Avril Lavigne was moved to tears when she learned that fans had voted her their favorite Canadian artist at Sunday's 2007 Much Music Video Awards.

The punk princess also picked up a Best International Video by a Canadian for "Girlfriend."

Other fan favorites included Hilary Duff, who was named Favorite International Artist and My Chemical Romance, who was named Favorite International Group. The latter also picked up a Best International Video by a group award for "Welcome To The Black Parade."

Canadian rockers Billy Talent ended the evening with the most awards, taking home trophies for Favorite Canadian Group, Best Bideo and MuchLOUD Best Rock Video for "Fallen Leaves."

Performers included Fergie, who picked up a Best International Video by an individual artist for "Fergalicious," Maroon 5, Duff and Billy Talent.

Amber Tamblyn, Nickelback, Joss Stone, Tara Reid, and Sum 41 were also at the event.
