Ashton Kutcher jokes with Letterman about fatwa

(CBS) Ashton Kutcher showed up for his interview with David Letterman on the "Late Show" Wednesday night prepared. The actor donned a bulletproof vest, helmet and wore a sign that read "Not Dave" over his shirt, jacket and bow tie.

As Kutcher sat down, Letterman asked, "Is that a bulletproof bow tie?"

Letterman had been threatened last week on a jihadist website with death. When he returned to the show Monday, he made jokes about it, saying at one point, "Everybody knows it's Leno."

Kutcher was on the show to talk about his upcoming stint on "Two and a Half Men."The actor replaced Charlie Sheen, who was fired from the show in March. Kutcher's first episode airs Sept. 19.
