NEW YORK (CBS/WCBS) The NYPD announced late Monday night it had arrested a man for the murder of a woman whose body was found in a suitcase in the East Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan.

Investigators said a surveillance video captures the suspect, 55-year-old Hassan Malik, wheeling the suitcase in near the famed Italian restaurant Rao's, reports CBS affiliate WCBS.

The suitcase was found on East 114th Street last week. Inside was the body of 28-year-old Betty Williams. She had been strangled.

Police said Williams had a history of drug arrests and suspect she was killed because of a drug deal that went wrong.

Earlier Monday, WCBS's Pablo Guzman had reported the NYPD had picked up a "person of interest" in the murder of Williams and were questioning him.

Guzman also reported the police later released a second video, but sources said the man in that video is not the man who has since been charged.
