Angry Birds cute baby products

(CBS) - As Angry Birds begins its plans for world domination, what better place to start than with smothering the next generation with swaddling blankets?

Rovio, the super-addictive video game's producer, partnered with U.S. company Swaddle Designs to bring  parents a line of branded blankets, burpies and baby pouches.

Angry Birds already has its own merchandise that includes backpacks and flip-flops. The new baby merch will be added to the inventory.

"As parents, one aspect of Angry Birds we appreciate is how protective the birds are and how much they love their offspring," said Lynette Damir, RN, CEO and creative director of SwaddleDesigns. "It's one of the characters' endearing qualities that resonates with parents everywhere, and a key reason we believe Angry Birds fans will be enthusiastic about our new line of Angry Bird baby products."

Angry Birds began as an iPhone game that quickly shot to the top of the charts. The addictive physics game tells the story of a group of birds who had their eggs stolen from green pigs. With the swipe of a finger, millions of players worldwide have launch these birds into the sky with the purpose of taking down the pigs.

The game expanded onto several operating systems and devices, including Android, Palm and Nook.
