Angela Pettifer Found Strangled to Death; Police Look for Information

MONROE, Wash. (CBS) Police said Tuesday they are investigating the death of 36-year-old Angela Pettifer as a homicide.

Pettifer, from Monroe, Wash., was found strangled to death Sunday in her apartment, according to The Herald.

The newspaper's website reports that she was last seen alive on Saturday night at a restaurant in Monroe, located southeast of Everett, Wash.

Investigators said Tuesday that Pettifer was with her father in the hours before her death. Spokeswoman Debbie Willis told The Herald that the 60-year-old father was fully cooperating with police.

The Herald reports Pettifer lived alone in the apartment and worked at a Red Robin restaurant in Monroe.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen Angela Pettifer before her death to call the Monroe Police Department at 360-794-6300. Anonymous information may be left on the Department's tip line at 360-863-4600.
