Security at the mall in Salem, N.H. found the boy wandering around a store by himself Friday afternoon, according to the station.

Surveillance video showed he had been there by himself for more than two hours. It wasn't until two hours later that police were able to locate the child's aunt, Ana Matos.

Matos, 45, who also serves as the child's guardian, told police she had been looking for her nephew, but was unable to explain why she hadn't contacted mall security or the police.

Matos, of Lawrence, was reportedly carrying three shopping bags containing more than $500 in clothing, which led police to believe she had been shopping instead of looking for the child.

She was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
