WOONSOCKET, R.I. (CBS/WPRI) Police in Rhode Island are asking for the public's help in finding a teenage girl missing since the weekend.

According to CBS affiliate WPRI, 15-year-old Amber Bielat was last seen with a friend two blocks from her home on Saturday night. According to her family, her friend made it home safe, but Amber never made it back.

Lt. Eugene Jalette said Tuesday that Amber left on her own and there is no sign of foul play at this point. Regardless, police are treating the case seriously and have assigned the search to the detectives' division.

The family says Amber is 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. Her dirty-blond hair has been dyed black. She was last seen wearing a tie-dye sweatshirt and light-colored jeans.

Anyone with information about the girl's whereabouts is urged to contact the Woonsocket Police Department at 401-766-1212.
