TEMECULA, Calif. (CBS/KTLA) Adrian David Calleros, an adopted 13-year-old boy who went missing last Tuesday, was found safe over the weekend and his birth parents have been arrested for kidnapping, according to police.

Fontana residents David Calleros, 45, and Marie Calleros, 41, were booked on suspicion of kidnapping their biological son, Adrian David Calleros, said Riverside Sheriff's Sgt. Michael Hatfield to CBS affiliate KTLA.

The Calleroses, who have no legal custody of the boy, were found by deputies in Highland, Calif., outside of San Bernadino, at around 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Deputies took them in for questioning, and were then soon led to a house where they found the boy, Hatfield said to the station.

Tuesday afternoon, Adrian told his adoptive parents he was going to go skateboarding at a park near his home in French Valley.

Riverside County Sheriff deputies suspected the boy had actually gone to meet his birth parents.

Adrian was adopted at the age of 3 after his birth-parents lost custody of him, according to KTLA.
