4 Things To Know: Boudreau, Fire & More

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Here's a look at the four things you need to know for Sunday, May 8, 2016.

Number One: The Wild's New Coach

The Minnesota Wild have decided on a new head coach: 61-year-old Bruce Boudreau.

He was just fired from the Anaheim Ducks after five seasons with the team. Before that, he was with the Washington Capitals.

The Wild will formally introduce Boudreau on Tuesday.

Number Two: Canadian Wildfire Rages On

Canadian officials say the massive Alberta wildfire is expected to burn for months.

They worry that the wildfire could double in size and reach a major oil sands mine and even the neighboring province of Saskatchewan.

The fire started last Sunday.

While no one has been hurt, more than 1,600 homes have been destroyed.

Number Three: The Kentucky Derby

A horse named Nyquist won the Kentucky Derby on Saturday.

Nyquist has never lost a horse race yet.

He will run in the Preakness in two weeks.

Number Four: Winning Powerball Ticket

There was one winning ticket to Saturday's Powerball drawing.

The ticket was sold in New Jersey.

It's worth almost $430 million.
