Study: Families would need $400,000 income for childcare to be considered affordable

A new LendingTree analysis highlights the steep financial burden of childcare in the U.S., estimating that parents would need to earn roughly $400,000 a year for care for two children to meet the federal definition of “affordable,” which is spending no more than 7% of household income.
