Indiana homeowner charged after fatal shooting of house cleaner at wrong address

An Indiana homeowner has been charged with involuntary manslaughter after fatally shooting a house cleaner who mistakenly went to the wrong address. Prosecutors say the man fired through his front door, killing Maria Perez, who had simply arrived to clean a home. He told police he believed he was acting in self‑defense after hearing a commotion and seeing people on his porch.
