Former Uvalde school officer acquitted in 2022 shooting case

A former Uvalde school police officer has been found not guilty on charges of abandoning or endangering children during the 2022 Robb Elementary School massacre. Prosecutors argued the officer failed to confront the gunman, while his attorneys said he never saw the shooter and instead helped evacuate students from nearby classrooms. Nineteen children and two teachers were killed in one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history.
