Broward Health sues Florida Blue over unpaid emergency care bills
Broward Health has filed a lawsuit against Florida Blue, alleging the insurer failed to properly pay for emergency care provided to out-of-network patients after their contract ended in July 2025. The hospital system says Florida Blue owes significant payments plus 12% interest, leaving thousands of members caught in the middle of the dispute.
