Sports Agenda for Tuesday (1/17/12)

Big Story:
The Heat finally return to the court tonight to try and wash the bad taste out of their mouth left from a dismal road trip. The Panthers have reverted to 2010 form. And the Dolphins still don't have a coach, yet.
Dropping this agenda faster than Mitt Romney will the tea party when he gets the nomination, here we go.

Miami Heat: (vs. San Antonio Spurs, 7:30 p.m, Sun Sports/NBATV)
After a couple of days to rest, the Heat will return to the court tonight to battle the banged up San Antonio Spurs.
The Heat will be without Dwyane Wade for an undetermined period of time, though my best guess is two weeks.
LeBron said Monday he'll have to revert to his old style of being a stronger scorer while D-Wade is out.
I don't mind that, as long as he takes it to the basket, in fact, I'm all for it.
On the bright side, the Heat will get Mike Miller back and he's supposedly fully healthy.
They've never had a fully healthy Miller in the lineup since he came here.
Last year he was held together by bubblegum and duct tape. He said he is fully recovered from hernia surgery, which will be good for the Heat.
He's a dead-eye shooter who loves to go to the glass to get rebounds.
I just hope they keep putting James Jones in the lineup because he's still a 3-point madman and that only helps to open up lanes for LeBron.
And I don't think it will be tonight, but don't be surprised if you see the Big E (Eddy Curry) out on the court during this homestand.
They could use his bulk on Thursday against Andrew Bynum and the Lakers and on Sunday against Andrew Bogut and the Bucks.
I hope that Curry is ready to go and make a good contribution.
I'm telling ya, if he's right and can give the Heat some quality minutes; the Heat may finally solve the center position.
Course given his history, that's a mighty big if.
And just so we're all on the same page….don't listen to the idiotic national sports media talking about trading Wade or LeBron or Bosh.
Pat Riley will not do that unless he knows for a fact that it's not going to work. Even then, the player likely to be traded would be Bosh.
So take all the trade scenarios to your fantasy league because it's simply not happening for the Heat.

Panthers: (off, next game @ Colorado Avalanche, Wednesday)
Well, I tried to get people fired up about the Panthers, but they're letting me down worse than when I saw Velvet Revolver.
They lost again last night and are just 1-4 in January…yikes.
They did take the Bruins to a shootout, but if you don't win, that's like feeling good about having the last girl in the bar take you home no matter how ugly she is.
The Cats now head on the road for their next three games.
They travel first to Colorado to take on the Colorado Avalanche, who are in third place in the Northwest Division.
Then the Cats head to Chicago to take on a great Blackhawks team, before ending up in Winnipeg to take on a Jets team that's just three points behind Florida in the Southeast Division.
