Sketch Released Of Man Who Abducted Boy Off Miami Streets

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Police have released a sketch of man they say abducted a 10-year old boy off the streets of Miami.

Last Friday, around 8:50 p.m.. the boy was walking with a friend in the 3300 block of N.W. 27 Avenue when he was approached by a man in his mid-20s. The man looked at the boy and asked him "Is your mom looking for you?"

He then grabbed the boy who fought back along with his friend. The two boys, however, where no match for the older man who threw the 10-year old inside his vehicle and drove off.

Twenty minutes later, after struggling with the boy, the man dropped him off in the area of N.W. 1 Avenue and 96 Street. The boy ran to the corner of N. Miami Av. & 95 Street where he found a woman and asked her to call the police.

The boy said the man who took him was 25-35 years old, 5'8" to 5'9", approximately 200 lbs, possibly muscular built, spiky hair and clean-shaven.

He was driving a gray or silver, 2009 Hummer, with tinted windows and bearing a possible temporary tag beginning with the letter "A."

Anyone with information about this man or the vehicle is urged to contact the City of Miami Police Department's Robbery Unit at (305) 603-6370 or Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS (8477).
