Report: Fmr. Fla. Republican Chair Accuses Crist Of Being Homosexual

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) – As Jim Greer, former chairman of the Florida Republican Party, awaits a scheduled July 30th trial over charges related to allegedly diverting state party funds to pay his personal expenses; new allegations from Greer say former Governor Charlie Crist paid two men to leave the state to hide Crist's alleged homosexuality.

According to WTSP in Tampa, a Florida Department of Law Enforcement report found that Greer's attorney, Damon Chase, was trying to set up a deposition of Crist when the allegations first were made.

The FDLE report, posted by WTSP.com, said that Chase was talking with attorney John Morgan of Morgan and Morgan where Crist worked and that if Crist was deposed he'd be embarrassed by a series of allegations meant to challenge Crist's testimony including:

  • Crist was a homosexual and had homosexual relationships with at least two men who were paid to leave the state to avoiding embarrassing then-Governor Crist.
  • Governor Crist kissed or attempted to kiss Greer at a hotel in Beverly Hills, Calfiornia.
  • Governor Crist's drunken escapades, and how Governor Crist's security detail had to cover for him.
  • Governor Crist attempting to run people over while driving a golf cart while drunk.

Morgan told Chase that what he was trying to "impeach Crist with was not impeachable, but rather inflammatory statements designed to embarrass Crist," according to the FDLE report posted by WTSP.com.

Crist contacted WTSP and said the statements from Greer are "a bunch of delusional lies."

Florida Governor Charlie Crist is married to Carole Rome.

The case against Greer runs the risk of exposing deep Florida Republican secrets which could impact countless politicians including Crist and others.
