Prostitution Sting In Boynton Beach Leads To 14 Arrests

BOYNTON BEACH (CBSMiami) – A total of 14 people were arrested in Boynton Beach on various prostitution charges between Monday and Wednesday. Police baited suspects using the Internet.

The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports there has been a recent rise in "human trafficking of kids", as one detective put it, in South Florida.

No juveniles were arrested or rescued in the two-day sting, but police said the undercover sting sting was prompted when police noticed advertisements for prostitution running rampant on the Internet. They popped up on the usual websites, including craigslist.org.

"We're finding them all over," Boynton Beach Police Detective Charles Ramos, lead investigator in the operation, told the Sun-Sentinel.

Several Boynton Beach police reports detail the operation, which began Monday night.
