Plane runs off runway at Pompano Beach airport while landing, officials say

Broward emergency crews responded to reports that a plane ran off an airport runway late Tuesday morning, according to officials.

Few details have been released, but Pompano Beach Fire Rescue officials said the incident took place at the Pompano Beach Airpark.

The aircraft, officials said, was a teaching aircraft and had a teacher and student on board when it ran off the runway.

No injuries were reported.
