Overturned tanker truck blocks all NB Turnpike lanes near Bird Road
MIAMI - A tanker truck overturned on the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike near Bird Road on Friday afternoon, blocking all lanes.
Images from Chopper 4 showed all NB lanes shut down.
Authorities say a crash between 2 SUVs resulted in the fuel tanker overturning and spilling a large amount of fuel onto the roadway.
The northbound lanes remain closed while the spill is cleaned.
There were reports of minor injuries, but no one had to be taken to the hospital.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
