MIA Offers Divine Assistance To Passengers

MIAMI (CBSMiami) — Just in time for Labor Day travel, you and your family can get divine assistance before boarding your next flight.

Beginning Saturday night, the Archdiocese of Miami will celebrate a Vigil Mass at the Miami International Airport for all passengers, visitors and employees. The Mass will take place at the airport chapel in the North Terminal D, Level 4 at 7 p.m.

Archbishop Thomas Wenski expressed that the Archdiocese is "happy to provide this service weekly to the passengers and employees at the Miami International Airport," and that this spiritual support "is an intangible amenity for the people passing through MIA."

The Archdiocese made this possible with the cooperation of the Aviation Department, and Archbishop Wenski expressed in a letter to Aviation Director Jose Abreu his "deepest gratitude to the Aviation Department, and most especially Mr. Manuel Gonzalez and Mr. Melvin Payne who have worked diligently so that the Archdiocese can make available Mass in the airport chapel on Saturdays at 7 p.m."

Father Roberto Cid, pastor of St. Patrick Catholic Church and General Director of Radio Paz, will celebrate the first Mass.
