MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- As various women brace themselves for the second installment of Magic Mike, some of the crew made their way down to South Florida this week.

The premier of Magic Mike XXL is still a week away but with the steamy trailer building up the hype, the only thing left was for the crew to promote the film and so they did.

It was a hot and steamy celebration in every way at Bayside Marketplace in Miami Wednesday afternoon.

Local dignitaries were on hand basking in the extreme heat. Everyone wanted a selfie with the Magic Mike XXL actors, many of whom were reunited since the first film broke box office records.

Actor Channing Tatum headed the all-star lineup and yes, he's got the moves, and he told CBS4's Lisa Petrillo, he's thrilled with what's been happening in his life.

"Every day is a pinch me moment. I can't believe what has been going on and the fact that I get to act all the time is incredible," Tatum said.

Joe Manganiello, the man Men's Health Magazine has named the fittest man of all time had a blast this time around on and off screen with the boys.

"There's always male bonding when it comes to male strippers. We're like a team but this one is more of a straight comedy more than the first one was," said Manganiello.

Adam Rodriguez, formerly of CSI Miami, is enjoying his new lack of wardrobe in the film.

"Yeah, I had a lot more clothes with CSI Miami. I probably had a Q-tip or a flash light in my hand. It's a whole different animal with this one," Rodriguez said.

Matt Bomer is also back again with a few more moves and was more than charming with Petrillo.

"Look at you, " he told Petrillo. "You're strategic with the hat you're wearing and looking so cool and stylish. We will brave this heat together."

To add a bit more comedy there is Gabriel Iglesias as the DJ but he says this time around he's making moves on stage.

"I finally get to the stage and people are going to see things they've never seen from me before. Make a drink before you see this," Iglesias joked.

And for a little estrogen and fashion, Jada Pinkett Smith, stayed cool and beautiful on a sweltering Miami afternoon.

"The role was written for a man but Channing called me and told me really what we wanted to do with the movie and I said I have to go for it," Jada said.

Magic Mike XXL is out in theatres July 1st.

CBS4's Lisa Petrillo caught up with them Wednesday.
