Lohan Makes Court Appearance For Jewelry Theft Case
LOS ANGELES (CBS4) -- Lindsay Lohan appeared Wednesday before a judge who could decide whether an allegation that the actress stole a $2,500 necklace can be resolved without going to trial.
The "Mean Girls" star has pleaded not guilty to a felony count of grand theft over the necklace, which was taken from a store in the coastal community of Venice.
Her attorney indicated at Lohan's arraignment that she may be willing to take a plea deal if the terms are right.
The hearing Wednesday was before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz, who has said he thinks Lohan violated her probation on a 2007 drunken driving case.
He has asked probation officials to give him an update on Lohan's progress since leaving rehab in January.
