Gas Prices Getting Closer To $4 A Gallon
MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The price at the pump is steadily heading up. In the last month it's risen more than 20 cents in Miami-Dade and Broward with shows no signs of slowing down.
In the last month the price at the pump nationwide has jumped nationwide about 28 cents to $3.64 on average for a gallon of regular unleaded, according to GasBuddy.com. In Florida, regular unleaded has jumped nearly a quarter cents to $3.75, according to the American Automobile Association. Last year at this time, that same gallon was running around $3.35.
In Miami-Dade and Ft. Lauderdale, drivers are paying more than the state average; a regular unleaded is running $3.82. Last year at this time regular unleaded gas averaged $3.39 in Ft. Lauderdale and $3.41 in Miami.

West Palm Beach is the most expensive place to top off the tank; regular unleaded is averaging $3.85 a gallon.
