MIAMI (CBSMiami) --  A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) trooper crashed into a car while driving on Florida's Turnpike early Friday morning in Homestead.

FHP said the trooper was heading south on the turnpike near SW 268th Street just before 6:00 a.m. when it happened.

The trooper's car came up over a hump near a disabled car with no lights on and rear-ended the vehicle.

There were two people inside the car at the time of the crash. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
